Performance

Through his musical career, Mehyar Abboud has developed a distinctive voice that blends Arabic music with the harmonies and Western music across genres. Known for emotive compositions and performances, he has built an open, collaborative practice, working with a wide range of artists and ensembles and bringing his oud-led sound into many different musical contexts. Alongside these collaborations, he remains active in multiple projects and leads his band Sindaya, formed with members from his previous Berlin-based band, Achso, continuing a shared journey of cross-cultural, genre-fluid music-making.
